Ms. Intro

One of my favorite pictures!

My name is Monae Tanner and I am 25 years old.I was born and raised in Glendale Arizona. I have a son that just turned a year old, Christian.Truthfully, my entire world changed after I became a mother. I learn something new about myself everyday. Recently in fact, after I took several years off, I spontaneously decided that I wanted to go back to school for a higher education.
While I am attending Glendale Community College, I anticipate finding a career choice that I am confident I am passionate about. For now, I have thought about working towards an Associate's Degree in Business Science or transferring my credits to Gateway Community College, so that I may enter The EEG Tech Program.Despite, the these two wonderful ideas, I feel that there is something better for me out there.
March 2015 first time holding my little man.
How about outside of school? Well in the past, I have enjoyed collecting recyclables (ha ha I am aware, it is a strange hobby!) However, because I am able to hold the materials until a rainy day, I see it as leisure spent productively. For instance, my first year of college, I was not prepared for the cost of my books.Thankfully, I had built up so much stuff that once I took it to the scrap yard, I had more than enough money for my school supplies.
On the weekends, in between my homework of course, I like doing yard work because I think of it as an alternative workout for my exercise.Plus, it helps keep the house cleaned up and well kept.
Another activity that I participate is swimming, especially since it has been like an inferno outside! Moreover, the pool is an excellent source of water therapy that my son may benefit from.
To conclude, I would like to acknowledge my lack of blogging experience and I am eager to become more sufficient by the end of the summer!

  1. I have never heard of collecting recyclables for a hobby, but I am glad it has come in handy for you. I love to go swimming, just don't forget to wear sunscreen. Unless you are prepared to turn red and get a sunburn.

  3. Monae--You have your blog set up and your practice entry, which is good. Unfortunately, you do not have either of the required entries for GP#1. That is going to hurt. Start with Entry #3 now.
